Lighting positions
The light source is concealed within a prepared channel or profile so illumination reads as part of the pergola rather than a separate fixture. Placement may follow inner beams or approved roof zones without interfering with louvers, gutters or service access.
Typical positions include the inner beam perimeter or an approved roof-lighting zone. The final position is confirmed against the selected pergola profile, desired illumination and maintenance access.
- Villa evening lounge and dining areas
- Restaurant and hotel terraces
- Poolside circulation and ambient lighting
- Projects needing coordinated control zones
Beam and roof integration
The selected beam or approved roof profile must provide a suitable channel, diffuser position and fixing method. Lighting must not obstruct louver rotation, retractable-roof travel, seals, drainage or fastener access.
Can LED lights be integrated into pergola louvers? Only where the selected profile and technical package provide a suitable channel, wiring path and service access. Compatibility is not assumed across every JY model or roof component.
Cable routing and water separation
Low-voltage cable routes must remain separate from gutters, downpipes, drainage outlets and moving roof parts. Cable entries, joints and protection are selected for the installed exposure and recorded on the electrical plan.
Driver location and service access
Drivers, connectors and isolation points need a dry, ventilated and reachable location. Replaceable electrical components should be serviceable without dismantling major roof components.
Dimming and control zones
Define whether beams, roof zones, dining areas and circulation operate together or separately. Dimming requires a compatible strip, driver and control method selected as one electrical package.
Color temperature and power supply
Confirm the preferred color temperature, project voltage, power-entry point and control method before production. The approved electrical schedule records the selected strip, driver and control package.
- Warm ambient color temperature subject to selection
- Dimmable driver where specified
- Independent frame or roof lighting zones
- Control integration subject to the selected electrical package
Installation and maintenance
Define lighting zones and control points before production. Plan concealed low-voltage routes, accessible drivers, dimming compatibility and local electrical connection. Keep wiring away from drainage paths and moving parts.
Keep diffusers, connectors and driver access points reachable for cleaning, inspection and replacement. A qualified local electrician should complete and test the final power connection.
Accessory-specific quote preparation
Information for a pergola lighting quotation
Define the desired lighting effect and electrical zones before the channels and cable routes are released.
- Pergola model
- Lighting location
- Warm or neutral light preference
- Dimming requirement
- Control zones
- Available voltage
- Power entry point
Common questions
Can LED lighting be integrated into the pergola?+
Yes, where the selected profile provides a compatible channel, cable route and maintainable driver location.
Can lighting be dimmed?+
A dimmable package can be planned when the strip, driver and control method are selected together.
Where are drivers installed?+
Drivers need a dry, ventilated and accessible service location defined on the electrical plan.
Does LED need to be planned before production?+
Yes. Early planning keeps channels, power entry, wiring and control zones coordinated with roof movement and drainage.
What information is required for quotation?+
Send the pergola model, desired lighting locations, color-temperature preference, dimming need, voltage, power entry and control zones.
